OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION

YOUR 4 STEPS TO OPEN WATER SCUBA CERTIFICATION

1. COURSE EQUIPMENT AND COUNSELING
This first step toward entering this new adventure is learning the basic functions of your total diving equipment systems. SCUBAdventures offer the most modern, up to date scuba instruction and Equipment. A professional instructor/counselor will help you choose the right equipment for you. The instructor counselor will familiarize you with the course structure and requirements. We will make sure you will enjoy all the learning phases to become a competent, safe scuba diver.

2. CLASSROOM TRAINING
Approximately 8 hours of classroom training including lectures and videos will prepare you for your sub aquatic experience! There is much to learn and time will pass too quickly, and soon you will be living the adventures you now can only dream about.

3. POOL TRAINING
Your pool training with SCUBA allows you to adapt technically and psychologically to the under water world. Approximately 10 hours of pool training will get you safely adapted to the equipment and necessary skills to become a safe diver.

4. OPEN WATER TRAINING
All phases of your training and dive planning and preparation will fall into place as you experience your final open water dives in KEY LARGO’S MARINE SANCTUARY! Each dive will allow you to get more comfortable with the marine environment and your diving equipment. FOUR OPEN WATER SCUBA DIVES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE YOUR CERTIFICATION and most dives are scheduled over a weekend.    For the five week, one night a week program

OPEN WATER DIVER "HOME STUDY" VIDEO, DIVING MANUAL, LOG BOOK, DIVE TABLES AND CERTIFICATION FEES.
USE OF SCUBA SYSTEM WITH DIVE COMPUTER FOR BOTH POOL AND OPEN WATER TRAINING DIVES*.
CHARTER BOAT FEES FOR THE 4 OPEN WATER TRAINING DIVES IN KEY LARGO.

*Each student must supply mask, snorkel, fins with boots and a wet suit or dive skin.

BEGINNER OPEN WATER COURSE
Classes for ages 10 and up!

Yes! This year the training agencies changed the minimum age for SCUBA training to 10 years of age! This will give almost every member in the family the opportunity to enjoy this exciting sport!

PRIVATE OPEN WATER COURSE

This program was developed by SCUBAdventures instructors and staff members. It is tailored to meet the needs of the person who wants to learn how to SCUBA dive but can’t find the time to attend regularly scheduled classes. Since SCUBAdventures dive training program is a modular system, it is possible to become a certified scuba diver by studying at home using the SCUBA HOME STUDY COURSE, taking your pool training sessions in your own pool at home or with us and performing the open water training sessions in places like offshore Naples, the Caribbean, or by joining us in Key Largo with our many scheduled dives.

REFRESHER COURSE

This course is designed to help the diver who may not have been actively diving in a while. Pool training sessions will allow the student to become comfortable with their basis skills and get acquainted to the new modern diving equipment systems. Classroom training will get the diver familiar with the latest technology and refresh dive planning procedures.

Course cost: $125
Includes classroom and pool sessions

SCUBA system supplied for pool sessions. Student training manual and video $30.
Open water dives and equipment rental additional

ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE

Advance your skill level to the next step...SCUBAdventures Advanced Open Water Certification Course is designed to introduce new skills as well as develop and refine present diving techniques. This course ensures a high level of confidence through Equipment Techniques, Navigation, Night/limited visibility diving and Deep Sport diving. SCUBAdventures advanced diver program is the key to your comfort and enjoyment of diving.

Course Cost: $125
Includes necessary classroom training, Advanced Diver Manuals, and certification fees.
Open water dives extra. Diver must complete four specialty classes and log a minimum of 24 open water dives to complete the Advanced Diver Certification Program!

NITROX-ENRICHED AIR COURSE

This NITROX CERTIFICATION course will allow the diver to take advantage of this enriched air mixture to increase diver safety and bottom time.

Course consists of 4 hours classroom training.

Group Classes are one night a week for five weeks.
